'Dawn at Samphire Hoe' was inspired by the Samphire Hoe wildlife reserve that has been created between Dover and Folkestone in Kent from the excavations made to create the Channel Tunnel. The artwork, which is from an oil painting by Folkestone-based artist, Cerys Russell, depicts the first hint of lilac daylight peeping over the foliage-covered white cliffs that surround the reserve's west pond. The blues and greens of the scene give it a tranquil air.
 
The card is blank inside so you can write whatever message you wish. Size (including the envelope): 7.25 inches width x 5.25 inches length (18.5 cm x 13.5 cm).
