'Lovely Skies' is a good quality, signed limited edition giclée print (2/50) of a painting of the seaside town of Margate in Kent by Canterbury artist, David Weeks. Colourful and quirky, it celebrates the town and its famous artists: J M W Turner, who once stated that "Margate has the loveliest skies in all Europe"; and Tracey Emin whose lyrical neon sculpture 'I never stopped loving you' actually adorns the clock tower depicted in the background. The colours of the Turner Contemporary Gallery, which dominates the print's background, are reminiscent of a Turner sunset and Emin's sculpture has been turned into graffiti on the two lamp-posts in the foreground. The central boat of the trio has also been named 'Lovely Skies' after Turner's famous quote. Also depicted in the print are three seagulls, one of whom has just dropped a goldfish! This print, which has been placed in a cream mount ready for putting in a frame, will make a great addition to any wall. It is oblong-shaped and hangs horizontally. Size (including the mount): 20 inches width x 16 inches height (51 cm x 41 cm). Please note that colours and tones may slightly differ according to monitor/screen types, etc.
